Terry Hoggins
With his usual vigor and enterprise, Ralph Hoggins first went into the coal business in 1963. He bought a small local company in Tysoe and it became Red Horse Fuels, after the Vale of the Red Horse in which the Hoggins family still live and work.
Now, more than 40 years on and much development and many acquisitions later, the thriving and much larger firm is under the personal management of his sons Terry and Marcus Hoggins at Windmill Farm. This provides extensive premises for the efficient conduct of the business.
Regular deliveries of coal and other solid fuels are still undertaken daily throughout the region. Deliveries of other products are scheduled in accordance with customers' requirements. The original trade has expanded substantially, and many other activities have been added, most recently, the supply of central heating oil and other oil products in bulk. Three road tankers are now available to ensure excellent service and quick delivery throughout the neighbourhood. Deliveries to customers' doorsteps are made six days per week through Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire.
